Chris Mull, Sedona
Fine Art photographer Chris Mull has lived in the Sedona area since 1988. Working from a general belief that much of the world moves at far too rapid and scattered a pace, Chris’ process of creating images is to slow down and observe detail, form and balance, and find small macro compositions which elicit a Zen-like aesthetic. This process of slowing down and reconnecting is for many people characteristic of the Sedona experience. This feel is what Chris works to elicit from the viewer through his abstract fine art photography. All photographs are printed by the photographer using archival inks and papers. Chris is completing a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Joan Roberts, Sedona
Joan Roberts came to Sedona, Arizona as a new retiree from the Monterey Bay area of California’s central coast. The red rock magic and artistic climate of Sedona renewed her interest and love of the arts. She serves as a volunteer at Sedona Arts Center and has re-established herself as an artist.
A graduate of San Jose State University with a major in art, Joan taught art to middle school students and in adult education programs for eighteen years before becoming a school administrator. Her career allowed her to promote arts education for students within her care through teacher training and support. Her personal artwork during this time focused on spinning, weaving, stained glass and watercolor painting. Photography has also provided a creative avenue for her. Her new work in jewelry design has become a passion as she looks for new ways to create distinct wearable art pieces. Joan enjoys the active and ongoing search for interesting materials and techniques that will keep her designs unique and one-of-a-kind.
Patti Polk, Sedona
Artist Patti Polk has a truly profound connection with the natural beauty of the Southwest, and a deep respect for the history and art of it’s many ancestral cultures that inspires the distinctive and exceptional jewelry that she creates as a fine jewelry artist. Patti’s primitive, yet sophisticated styles are created with .999 Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay, a dynamic new form of pure fine Silver that is powdered and bound as a type of clay and fired in a kiln, much like ceramics. The very nature of forming and carving the precious Silver clay by bare hands gives it an organic presence that is not found in typical Sterling Silver silversmithing processes.
Patti also skillfully utilizes a variety of other techniques and methods in her jewelry-making process, such as wire-wrapping and lapidary arts, which includes individually hand-mined, cut, and polished fine Agate cabochons that are set lovingly into her pieces. Patti has a great passion for the stones that she personally hand collects in the field, and you are always guaranteed a stone unlike any other when you possess one of Patti’s hand-finished cabochons. Patti’s design philosophy embodies the essential beliefs that art should always be Divine in spirit, and not only beautiful to the eye – but to the Heart as well.

Each piece of jewelry Jennifer creates is unique, one-of-a-kind and made by hand in her Sedona studio. “The variance of nature is what attracts me to these stones. They have unique forms and exquisite differences. The jewelry is meant to set a mood or imply a landscape. My goal is to show a harmony between what nature has created and the simple designs that enhance the stones”
Pamela Becker, Sedona, Arizona
Pamela Becker of Sedona, Arizona received a B.F.A. in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has illustrated over 20 children’s books, and is an approved Disney and Warner Brothers Illustrator. She is also an accomplished yoga and movement integration instructor and practitioner. “What compels and attracts me most is creativity: the quiet waiting space that propels ART. The empty silence is an invitation to the Muse. Layered, colorful, textured paintings are created quickly through deep focus and playful risk. They are brought forth without expectation or high drama. They are a dance with the MUSE.”
